💡 How is daisy oil obtained?

Daisy oil, also called Bellis oil (Bellis perennis being the Latin name for daisy), is obtained by macerating daisy flowers in a virgin oil, ideally one that is neutral enough not to overpower the scent of the flower.

To be organic certified, the virgin oil used for maceration must be produced according to strict organic farming standards, without the use of pesticides, chemical fertilizers, or genetically modified organisms (GMOs).

At Senza, we have selected a committed producer who wild-harvests daisies and then performs her own maceration in Gascony. The sunflower oil used for the macerate is, of course, organic and French!

❓ Usage tips for applying daisy oil

Organic daisy oil is applied pure to the skin, massaging gently to ensure good penetration.

Small tip: the oil will penetrate even better if the skin is slightly damp (after a shower or sprayed with a floral water/hydrosol)!

💡 Tips for storing your daisy oil

Store organic daisy oil away from light and heat to best preserve all its cosmetic qualities. In general, well-preserved organic daisy oil can be used for 6 months to 1 year after opening.

🛎 How often should I use my daisy oil?

You can use your organic daisy oil every day, morning and evening, without risk.

We also recommend long courses (about 1 month) for particular uses such as breast firming.

💶 How much does organic daisy oil cost?

The price of daisy oil can vary from one supplier to another. To choose the oil that suits you best, pay attention to a few criteria that can influence the final price of the daisy oil offered to you:

  • The quality and type of oil used for maceration: we recommend opting for macerates made with organic sunflower oil because this oil, neutral in odor, is rich in vitamin E (antioxidant) and penetrates easily into the skin;
  • The place of production: in France, workers are protected, and French labor is therefore more expensive than in other European or more distant countries;
  • The packaging offered: if the bottle offered is made of glass rather than plastic, it can be returnable and thus be cleaned for reuse in a virtuous global approach.

In France, the price of quality organic daisy oil generally ranges between 5 and 15 euros for a content of 30 to 50ml.

→ at Senza, our organic daisy oil made in France from 100% organic hemp seeds and certified Nature & Progrès (the strictest label in the sector) is offered at €11.90 for 50ml.

✅ What criteria should be considered when choosing organic daisy oil?

To best choose your daisy oil, here are some tips on what to consider:

  1. Organic certification: while daisies are generally wild-harvested and therefore impossible to certify organic, make sure that the maceration oil used is recognized by an ecological label. The Nature & Progrès label, for example, is the strictest in the sector.
  2. The maceration oil used: it is important that the maceration oil used is neutral so as not to overpower the daisies; and that it possesses interesting qualities for cosmetic use. Sunflower oil, for example, is neutral in odor, but rich in vitamins and pleasant to apply because it penetrates the skin quickly.
  3. Origin: by choosing French organic daisy oil, and therefore local, you support local producers (often small, independent, and very committed) and avoid unnecessary transportation.
  4. Composition: if you want to use organic daisy oil during your pregnancy, it is important to choose a neutral oil, without added essential oils.
  5. Packaging: by selecting organic daisy oil in a returnable bottle, you contribute to a circular zero-waste approach!

And the little anecdote for the end!

In Latin, it is called Bellis perennis, which means "eternal beauty"; its cosmetic virtues are undeniably undeniable!

Tip for foragers: choose daisies with a flat center, because a domed center indicates that they have been fertilized and will soon reproduce through pollination!

In summary, why does organic daisy oil deserve its place in your daily care routine?

  • It is a 100% natural, vitamin-rich treatment that will accompany you before/during/after your pregnancy.

  • It allows for targeted use in long courses, for example, for 1 month as a firming treatment for sagging breasts.

  • It is easy to use daily: a few drops in the palm of your hand then applied to the skin are enough.

  • At Senza, it is obviously organic and French, like all our virgin oils!
